Your Baby's Favorite Furniture Piece is YOU.

Expensive baby items may be worth a second thought.

When planning my baby shower, I had a list within a list.

"You know, that secret list of things you really hope someone would get for you more than all the other stuff."

The fisher-price fawn meadows deluxe bouncer portable infant seat was a part of that list, and someone had got it for me!

It was a chair for babies that bounced and vibrated. I thought this would be useful because I had heard many times that babies find car rides relaxing. After my son was born, my husband and I started using it. At times I would rock my son, and other times I would place him in his particular chair. After a while, I began to notice that his patience with it would get shorter and shorter. Then one day, I thought he likes to be rocked; maybe I should get a baby swing. My husband and I bought a baby swing at a nearby baby supply store. There was a nice collection to choose from. Some were priced over $200. Some of the products could swing and do other stuff as well. I didn't think I wanted to pay so much extra for all the excess. Some that we did like, we went on YouTube and watched a few product review videos before making our final decision: a $69 rocker. My husband put it together, which was easy to assemble.

I put my son in it the following day, and he loved it. The chair runs on batteries. It rocks at different speed levels and plays music.

"Another day had passed by, and my son HATED IT"

As I picked up my son and sat in the rocking chair, it hit me; I'm his favorite chair. There are days he loves store-bought stuff, and there are days where he can't stand it, but he has never turned me away from holding him. There are so many expensive products out there. I even considered getting the "Snoo" before he was born, But after this experience, I'm glad I didn't. I'm not putting pricy products down; they help some people out there, but I advise getting to know your baby before buying something costly.
