Kama Shell's Biography

Kama Ariel Shell was born July 27, 1984, in Flint, Michigan. At a young age, Kama enjoyed watching movies, bike riding, playing video games, writing, and drawing. While in Junior High school Kama entered different poetry contests, including one from The National Library of Poetry, and was placed in their book A View From Afar as a semi-finalist with her poem titled Winter is.  Growing up, Kama was apart of the Big Brothers Big Sisters (Mentorship) Program and Girl Scouts.

Kama graduated from Carman-Ainsworth High School in 2002. She went to Baker Community College of Flint, Michigan, to become a nurse's aide. She received education from Saint Clair County community college (SC4) to become a Licensed Practical Nurse. In 2018 she graduated from Charles Stewart Mott Community College of Flint, Michigan, with training to become a registered nurse. She recently completed her education at Eastern Michigan University with her bachelor's in Science and Nursing. 

Kama works as a Registered nurse. She and her husband, Marcel, were married in 2019. They both currently live in Michigan. In 2021 they were both blessed with the birth of their son Kace. Kama enjoys watching Netflix, cooking, baking, cake decorating, reading, gardening, listening to music, indoor and outdoor decorating, spending time with her family, and mommy games such as peek-a-boo, and tickle time, hide-n-seek, and dolls, make-believe, and bedtime stories. 

Some fun facts about Kama are that her favorite flavor is chocolate. Her favorite childhood movie is Disney's The Little Mermaid. Her favorite anime series is Dragon Ball Z. Her favorite soda is wild cherry Pepsi, and her favorite type of food is seafood. Some of her favorite songs are from artists like The Jacksons, Stephanie Mills, Luthor Vandross, Debarge, Aretha Franklin, and CHIC.
