Ingredients
1lb Ground Chuck
1lb pork sausage; Plain (Ex: Jimmy Dean)
8oz Mozarella cheese
8oz cheddar cheese
9oz chopped frozen spinach
9oz chopped frozen broccoli
1/4c chopped bell pepper
4 eggs
1 TBS season salt
1/2tsp chili powder
1/4tsp red pepper
1/4c minced dried onions
2 deep dish pie crusts thawed-room temp
Directions
Turn the oven on to 350 degrees.
1.) Use your stove to brown the sausage and the ground chuck together until fully cooked. When finished, drain the excess liquid
2.) Boil the frozen spinach and broccoli together in a medium-large pot until cooked. When finished, drain and place back in the same pot. Add the meat to the veggies and mix them together.
3.)Cut the eye/heat off over the stove where the veggies were cooked, but leave the pot over the eye it was cooked on so that the remaining heat can dehydrate more liquid from the veggies.
4.) While the meat/veggie mix is absorbing leftover heat, take your pie crusts and poke holes all around the bottom and the sides of the dish. Set aside
5.) in a small bowl, mix the 4 eggs, Season salt, chili pepper, red pepper, dehydrated onions, and green peppers. Once mixed, add to the meat mixture and mix it all together well.
6.) Split the meat mixture into the 2 pie shells.
7.) Split each of the cheeses on top of both pies. First, mozzarella, then cheddar.
8.) Bake for 30 min (until crust is light brown).
